Dr. Tara da Costa

I’m Dr. Tara and I walk with you during one of the most difficult journeys for pet owners.

Since I was young, I have been committed to serving animals and the people who love them. I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 2004, and I’ve had a varied and exciting career path that has taken me through a roller coaster of ups and downs.

Along the way, I learned that what I loved most about being a vet was witnessing the love shared between animals and their families. I believe that our relationship with our pets is an invitation to understand that we are all connected. The bond we have with our pets teaches us so much about ourselves.

After a series of life events and burnout, I have come back to the profession with a new outlook and have realized that my calling is to be a support for those navigating the end-of-life transition.

I am here to provide gentle and non-judgemental support to you and your whole family.

I’m Reid, a dedicated veterinary technician deeply passionate about emotional support and humane euthanasia.

Animals have held a special place in my heart for as long as I can remember, and I’ve come to know that my purpose is to help others through the difficult process of losing a beloved companion.

With empathy and understanding, I strive to create a safe space where pet owners can express their emotions and find solace. I graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin College in 2020.

Through my experience and unwavering commitment, I aim to share my knowledge and guide others on their journey of healing and honoring the profound bond between humans and their furry friends.

Tara was integral to my grieving process and guided me through it. And she was helping me virtually! To get that kind of care - through a screen was incredible. Truly, there is no way I could’ve gotten through that time without Tara’s support.
